Hi, my name is Chris and I am the owner at Haud Yer Weeds. I left school in 2013 and started a job with my local council in the greenspace department. Originally, I was doing this as just to keep me busy after finishing school. However, after a few months I applied for an apprenticeship in Horticulture and started my journey into landscaping and grounds maintenance. I completed my first apprenticeship in 2 years and gained my SVQ2 in Horticulture. Enjoying my work and eager to learn more skills I spent the following 3 years completing my SVQ3 Horticulture. 

My time at the council came to an end due to no possibility of a full time job. I therefore worked within other industries and companies until I realised how much I missed working in the outdoors and maintaining greenspaces. I made the leap and decided to start my own business in 2025, and haven't looked back since. With overwhelming positive feedback and word of mouth, the business took off and developed into a full time job. The feeling I get when showing customers the outcome is indescribable and knowing I have built this business from nothing gives me so much pride. I am looking forward to the years ahead and hope you join us in this journey.
